Days Out - Paddle Boarding in Lake Buena Vista

We prebooked onto paddle boarding through Buena Vista Watersports located on highway 535.

It took us about 45mins to find it and allowing for August traffic. Look out for Holiday Inn on the right hand side, the entrance is directly after, opposite the large blue superstore and gift shop. We missed it first time!🙄

We had to check in and sign waivers then off for a 2 minute safety instruction and we were off! Steve and Tyler have paddle boarded before so had fibreglass boards. They all chose not to wear the life vests but mine was strapped on tight. 100 degrees or not that vest was staying put!! 😬

Quietly chuffed that I stayed standing and even managed moving to sitting and back up again without any mishaps! 💦

We rented the boards for an hour and it did go quickly. You paddle around the outskirts of the lake while the daredevils on their jet skis are in the middle. You can also have a go at being pulled along by a speed boat whilst on an inflatable. On Tyler's 'to do' list!. 🚤

Beautiful place. Only downside is they don't do food. We were hoping to spend few hours chilling and having lunch but had to head off. If we were to go again we'd take snacks. 🥘

The site is set up for weddings and such a lovely location for the special day. They obviously bring in outside caterers as there are car park spaces reserved for bride, groom, caterers etc. 👰

I have to say one of the prettiest bathrooms! 🚽
